Curmudgeon’s Corner: Twenty Means Thirty

There is a lot happening on this week’s Curmudgeon’s Corner podcast with Sam and Ivan. There is the usual discussion of the presidential race, but there is also coverage of the new Apple announcements, a lightning round with all sorts of things, and the first full discussion of our new Patreon! A very big show this week with something for everyone! Including a special appearance by Ivan’s wife Juana!

Yemen is home to some of civilization’s oldest relics and archeological artifacts. Many of the ancient structures are being destroyed by the conflict there, some with intent and deliberate destruction. A friend of mine spent several years doing archeology related art there and grieves for the destruction not only of their history but of the people who simply wish to live and raise their families. Sadly, there is no end in sight for the destruction given the nature of Yemen’s government and that of Saudi Arabia
I found your discussion of iPhone cases interesting. When I buy a phone, I have the salesperson encase it in a case before accepting it. This is because I even dropped and broke one while putting it into a case.

  • @Edward – Yeah, the situation is Yemen gets remarkably little coverage given how bad things are getting there. For iPhone cases, I agree. Phone goes in a case the second it comes out of the box, never comes out again.
