Bundled Alex

Sam in Scrubs

Right before we went into the Operating Room

Introducing William Alexander Minter

Alex was born 12 Sep 2009 at 16:39 UTC (9:39 AM Pacific).
He weighed 3741 grams (8 pounds, 3.9 ounces).
He was 20.5 inches long.

Everybody is happy and healthy.

We expect to be in the hospital until about Monday.

We are in the OR… Here we go

Checked In

We are at the hospital. 90 minutes until the scheduled time. We are
in our room. Waiting.

Getting Ready for the Big Day

In the Corner

Less than Twelve

Eleven hours and forty minutes or so to go. Gulp. :-)

We Have A Birth Time Scheduled

We are scheduled. The C-Section is blocked off to start at 16:00 UTC this Saturday… September 12th. (That would be 9 AM Pacific, 10 AM Mountain, 11 AM Central, Noon Eastern, etc, etc, etc…)

That is just a few minutes more than 40 hours from now.

Gulp.

We Apologize for the Ignorance

That was the first line after the canned greeting in a customer support email I just got from a company I shall not name. They were responding to a support request I’d put in, and they proceeded to ask for more information they needed to proceed. So it kind of makes sense in that context.

But I found it very amusing. I think that phrase should probably be used much more often than it is and in many more contexts.
