  • So, do I understand correctly, several hundred people killed by chemical weapons matter more than the ~100,000 killed in other ways earlier? 19:07:56
  • The methods used to kill or injure people shouldn't really matter. Outrage should be the same regardless of chem/nuke/bullet/knife/bomb. 19:10:19
  • Not to mention outrage should be the same no matter who the victim is (or who is doing the killing). 19:11:21
  • And deciding on actions to take next should NEVER be based on "we have to do something", but only on "can we actually make it better". 19:12:06
  • Not sure action in Syria passes the test. People don't like inaction but very possible US action will result in more deaths than no action. 19:17:06
  • Of course, it is impossible to tell, which is part of the problem. But the case needs to be made that anything US does actually helps. 19:18:27
