He spent quite a bit of time on the slides, but this particular picture is a platform next to a fire poll. He wanted to jump and grab it and slide down like he had seen the bigger kids do, but I had him jump to me instead.
Of course, later on he climbed up a big curvy ladder thing (you saw him doing this at the exact same place on your last visit) but on the last step he decided not to step to the platform but to jump instead… and missed… falling five feet or so.
He was fine, just surprised and upset and maybe a little sore, but our playground time was over. He decided immediately that he wanted to go home. A stop on the way home for cheese sticks and fries also helped make it better.
